🌄 Early Departure – Journey to the Andes
Your day begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco around 4:30 a.m. for a scenic drive south of the city. Enjoy the peaceful Andean morning as you travel through picturesque valleys and small villages until reaching the starting point of the trek.
Upon arrival, delight in a warm Andean breakfast to gain energy for the hike ahead.

🥾 The Ascent to Rainbow Mountain
Begin your trek towards Vinicunca, walking gradually uphill through breathtaking high-altitude landscapes. Along the route, you’ll encounter local shepherds, herds of alpacas, and impressive snow-capped mountains such as Ausangate (6,384 m).
The hike (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on pace) leads to the summit at nearly 5,000 meters above sea level, where the famous Rainbow Mountain reveals its natural beauty in full color.

🌈 At the Summit – The Rainbow Experience
Once at the top, enjoy free time to admire and photograph this geological marvel with its vibrant mineral layers — red, yellow, green, and blue hues blending into a surreal panorama.
Your guide will share the cultural and geological background of the mountain, while you take in the awe-inspiring Andean scenery.

🍽️ Descent and Return to Cusco
After descending to the base, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a local restaurant before heading back to Cusco. Expect to arrive in the city by late afternoon, carrying unforgettable memories of this Andean wonder.
