🌄 Early Departure – Journey to the South of Cusco

The hike takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours at a moderate pace, with rest stops and photo opportunities along the way.

🏰 Arrival at Waqrapukara – The Horned Fortress
Arrive at the archaeological complex of Waqrapukara (4,150 m), where your guide will lead a full exploration of its terraces, ceremonial platforms, and carved stone structures that overlook the dramatic Apurímac Canyon.
Learn about the site’s historical importance as both a strategic Inca fortress and ceremonial sanctuary, and take time to admire the spectacular natural setting that surrounds it.

🍽️ Lunch and Return to Cusco
After exploring and relaxing, enjoy a packed or picnic-style lunch with panoramic views of the canyon. Begin your descent back to the starting point and board the transport to return to Cusco, arriving by evening with memories of one of Peru’s most mystical sites.
